Cancellation and refund policies for bus tickets are governed by the individual carrier (Greyhound, FlixBus, Megabus, Trailways, etc.). This page covers bustobook's own service fee policy. 1. bustobook Service Fee Policy

bustobook charges a service and handling fee for phone-based booking assistance provided through our reservation desk at +1 (847) 660-6556. This fee covers the cost of our agents' time, schedule research, and booking facilitation.

  • Service fees are disclosed upfront before any charge is processed.
  • Service fees are non-refundable once booking assistance has been provided, regardless of the outcome of the carrier booking.
  • If you cancel or modify a booking before our agent has commenced the booking process, no service fee will be charged.

2. Bus Ticket Cancellation & Refunds (Carrier Policy)

Refunds and cancellations for bus tickets are governed by the policies of the individual bus carrier. bustobook has no control over carrier refund or cancellation decisions. General carrier cancellation guidelines (subject to change — always verify with the carrier directly):

  • Greyhound Lines: Refund eligibility depends on ticket type (refundable vs. non-refundable). Contact Greyhound directly at greyhound.com.
  • FlixBus: Free cancellation is typically available up to 15 minutes before departure for eligible tickets. Contact FlixBus at flixbus.com.
  • Megabus: Tickets may be non-refundable. Contact Megabus at megabus.com for current policy.
  • Trailways: Cancellation policy varies by operator and ticket type. Contact Trailways directly.
